Taryn Grimes
TARYN GRIMES is an award-winning writer/producer who began her career as an actress portraying lead roles on Broadway, radio, television, and film.
Ms. Grimes has developed, written, and/or produced projects for HDNet, CNBC, Warner Bros., Global Media, Cablevision, Burns Media, The Paul Green School of Rock, and Hudson Music/Modern Drummer Magazine. In addition, she was an associate producer and composer rep for John Hill Music, where she also initiated business with film studios and television networks for feature film and television scores.
As an actress, she played Mary, a young, innocent, girl swept up in the world of Rock-n-Roll, in the Off-Broadway musical, “American Passion”, produced by Stuart Ostrow and Norman Lear and directed by Pat Birch. Her other roles include: Muriel McComber, in the Broadway musical “Take Me Along"; Eleanor Dare, in the PBS Mini-Series, “Roanoke: The Lost Colony”; and Becky Klein, on “The Wave Radio Theater Show”, for KMET in Los Angeles. She also played Cynthia in the film “Something Special” and has recently portrayed the role of Charlese Davenshorn in the independent feature film, “Quarter Life Crisis”, for which she also has a writing credit.
She wrote and co-produced the CNBC special, “Generations of Pride,” hosted by Nick Clooney, which won the Silver Screen Award presented at the 1998 International Film and Video Festival. On behalf of International Paper Company and the National Civil Rights Museum, she wrote and produced two video tributes, in honor of Mikhail Gorbachev and Benjamin Hooks, for the 1998 International Freedom Awards.
Ms. Grimes is an accomplished screenwriter and is currently Executive Producer, Entertainment, for UnXpected Development, LLC.
